Experience the Power

PlatformDoc is created for the promotion and distribution of Armenian documentary films. It is a project of the UP Educational and Cultural NGO. Within the scope of this project, various activities aimed at the development of the field are planned, such as:

• creation of a database,

• PR of films and creators

• activities on Social Media, IMDB, Letterboxd, etc.,

• conducting forums, workshops, etc.

• film screenings in Yerevan, regions and the Diaspora

• and much more.

 

The goal of PlatformDoc is to become a space where professionals of the field can feel secure, be represented, voice current issues, and work in a coordinated manner both with each other and with state structures, as well as international organizations, and other platforms.

 

Our long-term objectives include the creation of an association or a similar entity, representation in international platforms, establishment of alternatives to state funding, and having an independent fund for the production of films. In developing the documentary sector, we hope to bring positive changes to the film industry and, more broadly, to our society.
